Global Risk Solutions (GRS) functions as an Independent Adjusting firm, providing Claims Management and related services on behalf of our insurer partners and their insured claimants.
In the role of independent adjuster (IA) and in the process of delivering claims management services, we process claims and handle administrative functions for insurers. Services such as, but not limited to, first notice of loss, documentation, completion of required regulatory forms, and customer support functions are included in these services as provided in the course of managing claims. GRS also assists our insurer partners via settlement recommendations associated with specific claims. In the process of delivering these claims management services, GRS collects and protects personal information provided by insurer partners and their claimants.
In the role of providing our claims handling services on behalf of our insurer partners, the processing of personal data by GRS is governed by specific instructions received from our respective clients or by applicable law.
GRS will only capture personal information when required to provide claims management services to our insurer partners and their claimants.
GRS retains collected data only for as long as necessary, to provide our clients and their claimants the requested services. What data we collect and store, is protected within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access. GRS may retain personal data for longer periods where required by our regulatory obligations, professional indemnity obligations, or where we believe it is necessary to establish, defend or protect our legal rights and interests of our insurer partners, claimants, or GRS.
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, GRS has implemented security measures that comply with applicable law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. Claimant data is encrypted at rest and in motion. GRS employees and contracted vendors are authorized to access personal information only for valid business reasons. While GRS takes the protection of personal data very seriously, no data security measures can guarantee 100% security from unauthorized access.
GRS does not share any personal information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.
