Global Risk Solutions was founded by claims professionals whose experience in handling property, casualty and environmental losses on five continents dates to 1980. Arthur “Kip” Radigan co-founded GRS to leverage his extensive and varied loss adjusting experience for insured and self-insured clients, and to fill a marketplace need for a professional team committed to client priorities — no matter how large or where those priorities may be. With more than 35 years of risk management experience, Kip has worked in hundreds of claims environments and adjudicated losses in dozens of high-profile man-made and natural catastrophes on five continents.
He also has extensive global experience in petrochemical catastrophes, including marshaling subject matter experts to support claims operations and providing litigation support to manage the impact of class-action litigation.
As GRS’s President & CEO, his primary responsibility is delivering people, process and technology to exceed clients’ expectations. Accustomed to working in chaotic and extreme environments, Kip has mentored hundreds of company and industry personnel in the art of adjudicating losses with professionalism and dedication.
Kip’s experience is global, but he knows that no matter where, great service in claims must be delivered locally and with a personal touch. Kip and his team at GRS follow this philosophy in maintaining a family-like culture of support for adjusters while assisting clients in providing a more personalized customer experience.
As an accomplished global insurance industry executive, Jeff has worked in the industry for more than 35 years in financial, operations and strategy roles. He is a decisive leader with a proven track record in growing and re-engineering a multinational business through acquisitions, business transformation and new product development.
Taking over as CEO of a public company in January 2008, the year the financial crisis took its toll on the insurance industry, Jeff increased the global claims company’s revenue past the $1 billion mark and continued to expand, with significant improvements in information technology and new products. Jeff has been involved in more than 28 acquisitions globally.
One of Jeff’s strengths is prioritizing the client experience through strategic team leadership. He has excelled in developing leaders, challenging his teams’ thinking and driving business forward.
As a leader, Jeff emphasizes achieving targets while upholding the highest ethical and compliance standards. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and past chair of The Institutes.
Recognized and respected within the industry for driving client service quality, Jeff is passionate and independent-minded yet seeks to understand all sides in decision making.
Vincent Levito is a principal and the chief financial officer of GRS, with more than 25 years of experience dealing with financial, insurance and environmental issues. Vince’s assignments have included working on five continents. He has been involved in projects including Gulf War damage assessment, oil spill cost and claims issues, class action and product liability litigation support and property claims arising from environmental impairment. Vince is a cum laude graduate of the University of Florida. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Forensic Examiner and a licensed all-lines insurance adjuster.
Steve is a principal and serves as the chief operating officer of GRS’s Environmental Risk Management Solutions. He has more than 20 years of international industry experience providing consulting services to financial, insurance and environmental clients in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and North America. He is an experienced manager and leader who understands how to navigate to the end from the beginning, all the while pursuing clients’ best interests. Steve’s favorite aspect of his role is interacting with clients and leading project teams through potentially treacherous environmental claims situations, while mitigating overall risks and costs and managing data acquisition and reporting. When he isn’t abroad supporting international clients, Steve hangs his hat in the United States, where he enjoys family time, fishing and American football.
Falin has extensive experience in claims, specializing in handling major property and liability losses. His assignments have included claims from some of the major catastrophic events that have affected the United States in the past 15 years. Falin is a Six Sigma Black Belt Professional, and one of his areas of focus is leveraging innovative technology to support GRS adjusters and enhance clients’ experience.
Scott considers customer satisfaction with every interaction to be a formal part of his job description. It’s no small task particularly when what’s at stake are customer’s homes, most prized possessions, and ultimately, peace of mind. Scott is responsible for cultivating new P&C clients and further developing relationships with current clients, integrating new clients into the corporation and developing the talents of current and new management personnel. The adage, “Hope for the best, plan for the worst” is the foundation of Scott’s expertise.
One of the greatest pieces of advice he ever received was “Don’t pretend to know all the answers and always keep an open mind to other ideas”. The second-best piece of advice he ever received was “run faster than the guy behind you” when Scott ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain last year with his son.
With almost 30 years in the industry, Scott’s experience ranges from managing hundreds of claims adjusters in the field, to roles in executive management. Prior to joining Global Risk Solutions in 2018 he spent more than 3 years as the Vice President of Claims for Security First Insurance, one of the largest Homeowner’s insurance companies in Florida. Prior to that role, he spent a decade in a claims leadership capacity at Citizens Property Insurance in Jacksonville, Florida. While in Catastrophe Operations in 2005 he managed over 180,000 claims from Hurricane Wilma and three other storms. His roles of increasing responsibility culminated in serving as the company’s Assistant Director of Claims. Scott began his career with State Farm Insurance Companies in Jacksonville where he spent 15 years gaining a foundation of experience ranging from administrative services, catastrophe response, catastrophe and non-catastrophe claims, to serving as an inside adjuster and field adjuster.
He holds a Business Administration Degree from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. He also has his AINS and AIC insurance designations. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Scott’s favorite thing about Florida is being able to spend time in the outdoors year round.
“You can’t manage what you don’t measure”. This is the motto that governs Doug’s team within GRS and enables them to provide astounding results. By implementing Six Sigma principles, GRS can take process improvement, trend-identification, and internal auditing to a new level. This allows GRS to improve claim promptness without sacrificing quality. Doug possesses a lead-by-example attitude, along with an insatiable desire for knowledge. He utilizes a logical, data-driven approach to decision making and is not afraid to find the possible in the impossible. He faces large projects with an unwavering commitment, instilling a clear vision of the goal. Doug’s ability to share this vision allows GRS to create a culture that empowers all stakeholders.
Doug is a Six Sigma Green Belt who brings 35 years of management experience ranging from commercial and industrial construction operations, government, data, environmental projects, and P&C Claims. Doug also is a XactAnalysis Business Intelligence Author, Xactimate 28 Level 3 certified, MSBA Master Board certified, a member of the Society of Certified General Adjusters, and a member of the St. Louis Chapter of the CPCU Society.
Robert has over 25 years’ experience in the environmental and emergency response industry. His experience includes the incident management of responses to casualties on land and water, involving oil spills, hazardous materials, groundings, emergency lighterings, fires and collisions. He has been involved in the management of more than 500 incidents. Robert has specialized in logistics, finance and information management in the emergency response industry, including response to oil and hazardous substance spills, fires and explosions. He has significant experience in IT application collaboration and development, health and safety training, contingency plan development, facility and transportation regulatory compliance and emergency response operations. He serves as a board member of the Spill Control Association of America, of which he currently is vice president. He has served as a member of the Delaware County Chemical Advisory Team and other emergency response initiatives. His education in Business Administration and Organizational Management has been received at Troy State University and the University of Phoenix.
Mike joined GRS in November 2018 after a long and distinguished career as executive vice president of global markets at a large, global claims adjusting company. At that firm, he played a key role in the formulation of a division dedicated to providing loss handling services for large and complex organizations. As Major & Complex Loss Executive at GRS, Mike leads the development of a new business unit, Complex Claims Solutions (CCS). Based in London, he is renowned for his market knowledge and relationships in the global insurance industry. Mike is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
As a seasoned adjuster having earned 29 years’ experience, Doug brings a wealth of training with a wide variety of complex, catastrophic, and daily claims management assignments. He has been responsible for successful claims resolution in Insurance Carrier settings, as a senior staff claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company, as well as working for Independent Adjuster firms, and in self-insured organization roles.
Doug has long served as an expert in bringing to successful resolution claims in diverse areas, including: large, complex first-party commercial property; analysis of and application of coverage; evaluation of structural damage; calculation of financial losses; and negotiation of disputed and/or litigated losses. He is experienced in handling third- party claims and providing cost containment services to chemical companies, petroleum companies, and government agencies responsible for environmental impairment, product liability, and class-action litigation.
Doug’s catastrophe experience includes hurricanes: Andrew, Charley, Wilma, and Katrina, Irma, and Canadian (Ft. McMurray) wildfires, just to name a few. He has environmental remediation experience since 1989 on the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, having supervised major oil spills domestically and internationally. Doug has negotiated with Attorneys, Experts, Public Adjusters, and others concerning property damage and personal injury. His earned experience and specialized expertise augment his role as Executive General Adjuster and a Commercial/Account Manager for Global Risk Solutions, Inc. Doug enjoys time with his family and is very active in coaching ice hockey and his favorite team sports are (Hockey & Baseball).
Ross Gagliano has more than 20 years of experience in financial, contracting, environmental and insurance issues. He has worked worldwide, including on assignments in Africa, Europe, Latin America and North America. His experience includes numerous oil spill responses, leading teams dealing with both cost containment and claims issues. Additionally, Ross has significant experience dealing with environmental impairment, class action, litigation support and property claims. Ross is a graduate of Florida State University and is a Certified Forensic Examiner as well as a licensed all-lines insurance adjuster.
Sandra brings 13 years of insurance claims and government contract work experience to GRS. As GRS’s Quality Assurance manager, she leads a team of GRS QA Reviewers to ensure that all files follow the correct procedures for each of our clients. Sandra is a stickler for detail and organization in claim handling, and she coordinates with the GRS P&C management team to calibrate field adjuster and QA reviewers in delivering consistently high-quality finished products. Sandra is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and is working on her Associate in Claims (AIC) designation. Many are surprised to learn that Sandra was previously an emergency medical technician in New Orleans for 14 years — a fast-paced, high-energy environment that is not unlike catastrophe claims handling.
L Maestas brings 12 years of management experience to GRS that includes both the independent adjuster side and the insurance carrier side of the industry. In his role at GRS, L is passionate about defining a process and creating workflows that encompass the monumental importance of customer service and attention to detail. This focus, along with a savviness for cutting-edge technology, forms a structure that enables all members of his team to be successful. L is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt, a Haag Certified residential roof inspector, and is currently finishing his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation. With his experience in the ups and downs of the insurance industry, L vehemently opposes actual roller- coaster rides of any kind.
Eddie Trascher draws on more than 13 years of experience within the insurance industry in various types of catastrophe situations, including hail, hurricane, wildfire and flood to guide the day-to-day operations of GRS field adjusters. He takes pride in providing excellent service for carrier clients as well as their insureds. Eddie is Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified and is currently pursuing the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation. People are surprised to learn that he loves to cook, and he has three Yorkies known as “Da Boys”: Gumbeaux, Podnuh and Cooyon.
As manager of internal operations, Maxwell oversees daily operations at GRS to ensure stable and predictable results for our clients and team members. He has been with GRS for five years and is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt. One of his strengths is a natural ability to see potential failure points and address them proactively.
Linda has been a part of the GRS family since 2005 and has over 13 years of experience in providing strategic leadership to senior management. She has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives, including policy design, compensation, performance management, recruiting and benefit administration. Her experience also includes talent management, training, career development and employee relations. Prior to joining GRS, Linda served as a New York City police officer specializing in law enforcement, an experience that provided Linda an expanded policy perspective of sensitive and unique issues that involve critical incidents.
Kristina makes learning fun! She’s an expert at helping out adjusters with only a moment’s notice. And she’s a multi-lingual world traveller, too!
Michelle works for GRS as a P&C Billing Assistant.
Pavitra supports GRS’s people, process and technology as an IT specialist and developer. Before joining GRS in 2018, she completed her Master’s in Computer Engineering at the University of Central Florida. Pavitra provides IT support to the GRS team and is responsible for technology development for GRS’s adjuster portal and website. She is passionate about learning new things and applying them to help the GRS team. In her free time, she loves traveling and cooking.
Heather is the administrative assistant at Global Risk Solutions, where she focuses on building strong, long-term relationships between adjusters and GRS. Heather’s history in customer relations and social media networking/marketing helps her to recruit adjusters who exceed client expectations, to maintain client certifications and to create up-to-date marketing advertisements, among other operations.
Ever since she was a young girl, Heather has tried to live by a quote that her father shared with her from Maya Angelou: “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”
When Heather is not working, you can find her at home with her new puppy and significant other. She loves to have friends and family over to enjoy life with along with her Southern cooking.
Matthew Mitchum has served as an administrative assistant with GRS since May of 2018. He operates in a support role to other admin staff and the HR department. Matthew is an avid sports fan whose loyalties include the Florida State Seminoles, Duke Blue Devils and Atlanta Braves. Matthew and his wife, recently married, reside in Florida and enjoy visiting their favorite mouse in Orlando.
Courtney works for GRS as a P&C Payroll Specialist.
Victoria Stalnaker is an Administrative Assistant at GRS who provides client and adjuster customer service, supports deployment staffing operations, and fulfills carrier requests. As a new addition to the claims industry, she brings to the team over a decade of experience in research, customer service, and business development as well as an extensive education including a Master’s in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s in Finance. A goal she strives to emulate every day, personally and professionally, is to “be the change that you wish to see in the world”, a statement and belief made famous by Gandhi. She loves to travel, in any form, to any place and is always willing to try new foods.
